LARGEST E-WASTE COLLECTION DRIVE

Largest e-waste awareness and collection campaign on 26th January in Pimpri Chinchwad area on the occasion of Republic Day of India.
On the occasion of Republic Day of India, in collaboration with various social organizations like 'Make Your Own Movement', 'Purnam Ecovision' and 'Sevadeep', a massive e-waste collection campaign i.e. mega-drive was carried out at 75 locations in the city. The aim of the campaign was to promote scientific management of e-waste, which is widely generated in urban areas and is harmful to the environment. Although the primary objective of the campaign was to gain control over e-waste in the name of 'e-system', it will continue to benefit the needy individuals and organizations of the community by inculcating the principle of 'waste to sustainable'. Under this campaign 75 centers were set up at various residential, offices and other public places in Chinchwad Pimpri area and e-waste was collected directly through these centers. These collection centers accept the following types of e-waste - used/repaired/defective electronic equipment such as fridges, radios, tape recorders, home theaters, music systems, cables, chargers, batteries, printers, laptops, computers, mobile phones , Oven. , heater, mixer grinder, tablet, fan, LED bulb, extension board, desk lamp, etc.
