Surya Foundation is a non-profit government body working for the welfare of society. This charitable trust based in Pimpri, Pune was found by Mr. Dinesh Sharma and Mr. Shubham Vishwakarma in the year 2014, and looking at the circumambient scenario later thought that there is a need to carry on with this work further and hence registered under Maharashtra Public Trust Act, 1950 on 26th October 2016 to bestow helping hands to poor, provide shelter to homeless, feed the hunger, apply ointment on injuries, lit the torch of dreams, for a journey towards better and happy life.

Our main aim is to eradicate all sufferings and sorrows dwelling among our own people due to poverty, helplessness and extorting market values; and unveil happy and healthy nation. Surya Foundation is being doing magnificent work by helping needier and poor by providing them essential support and contributing towards the development of the society. This NGO act as mediator between society and government. When some issues are not solved or reached to the government, the NGO plays an important role in conveying this issue.

Initially, Surya Foundation had started a journey with 7 members and 20 volunteers by inaugurating food distribution events in and around Pune. Through this initiative, beggars and street people were served with daily meals. Later heading with awareness campaign, Cleanliness campaign, food distribution campaign, cloths distribution campaign, environment preservation campaign and many more ground activity which was possible only because of altruistic activities by the volunteers.

Surya Foundation is generous to helps needy patient/families during the measure treatments by providing financial support. Our first key work is that all individuals should avail their fundamental right to access all medical and health facilitates. This organization is helping people to avail all government grants, schemes and policies to help out the financially week people for major treatments and also by raising funds, and helping those who needs just an extra support. We also provide free cost of education to the students from underprivileged areas by giving away them free notebooks and textbooks, and approaching them to take the free classes conducted by the volunteers at Surya Foundation.  The second most motive of this organization is to make plausible to access the most precious gift i.e. education by all. This non-profit organization provides support to needy students through various ways by furnishing them notebooks, textbooks, study materials, stationaries and financial support for education. With rising competition in the society the market values are heading skywards, that has somewhere left behind the main motive and necessities behind the drive of terminating illiteracy in India. The cost of basic needs of the students even the stationery items are aloft all of a sudden that many unaffordable children are not able to access better study or study material of their choice. Along with this we are organizing various campaigns and initiatives. Surya Foundation is presently running many initiatives towards the benefit of the society such as donating food grains and meal to the hungers, distributing clothes and blankets to the homeless people on street, distributing free textbooks and notebooks to the underprivileged students, distributing sanitary pads to women and girls in underprivileged areas and spreading awareness about the same among the adolescence, providing financial support for measure treatment and medical tests etc.

Keeping our main motives in mind, we are further planning to set up a hospital and central library in Pune. The hospital will set up in Pune where all kinds of treatment will be made available at very low cost. For those modern surgeries and therapies which cost is very high and common people could not afford for this expensive treatment will be made available at lowest billing amount. This hospital will also offer a free treatment to poor and underprivileged people so that everybody should get a right to access better medicines and health facilities. Along with this project, we are planning to establish the central library in Pune where all books from across the world will be made available for everybody.  Many skill development programs will be conducted in the same library premises together with free learning and coaching classes for underprivileged students, and any extra support for pursuing education will be provided to the poor students. This two projects will enhance brightly on our main motives and to reach out to more people broadly and this will prove advantageous for many.
