    1.   Tree plantation

On the arrival of the monsoon tree plantation was carried out by the Surya Foundation. This activities of tree plantation took place at PCMC on 7th June 2018.

More than 500 plant samplings were distributed to the locals during this event and were induced to plant a tree sampling for our next generation to live on.

      2.   Tree Safety

The event was coordinate to spread the awareness among people about how the binding wires, banners and posters pinned on tree would affect the life of a tree. This not only affect the growth of a plant but can even strangle a tree. The event was lead from Aundh to Ravet on 4th November 2017.  There is no life without a tree. We have the ability to think, to understand, hence it’s our responsibility to nurture and protect our biodiversity

      3.   Tree Plantation

The tree plantation event took place on 7th July 2017 in Thergaon. People gathered with great joy to participate in this event. Trees helps us to combat global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide, removing and storing carbon while releasing oxygen back into the air. They resist the high wind speed and cools air as they lose moisture and irradiate heat upwards from their leaves. ‘Plant a tree and promote a life’ was the main notion expounded to the people. The event was successfully accomplished by planting 200 tree samplings in the areas of Thergaon.

4.   Tree Plantation

The event of tree plantation was taken place at K. M. K. School, Thergaon and Thergaon, Pune on the occasion of World Yoga Day on 21st June 2016 by Surya Foundation, sharing a cognizant knowledge to the students and people about how trees plays a vital role for all the living being on this planet and how we should initiate towards its conservation.

The loss of trees and other vegetation has caused climate change, desertification, soil erosion, aerosol particles in air, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and a host problem for indigenous people.Tree plantation event was further accomplished by planting 50 samplings in school premises and distributing 1500 plant samplings to people in Thergaon to plant in their gardens or in balconies
